Geeky Cat Miusings

My Pumpkin and Tammy are gorgeous kitties and they know that (maybe because I tell them so, several times a day). They both have such beautiful fur coats that I love to stroke. I noticed that Pumpkin would wash herself and then sit by heat vent and one day I clued in to her little trick. I now sit by or lie over the heat vent after my shower and let my hair dry by the power of the furnace. I find that it does not blow out my curls as blow dryers do, it leaves my hands free so that I can drink my coffee or pat a kitty, and it takes less time because the vent is wider than my blow dryer (even with my humongous diffuser attached). The only downside is that the vent does not have ionizing properties my blow dryer has. Why use a ionizing blow dryer? Negative ions to seal in cuticles and repel humidity and they break down water molecules instead of “boiling” hair. There are many who claim beneficial effects through the generation of negative air ions into the atmosphere - maybe one day they will make heat vents with ionizers to make us all healthy and happy.
